Kistler is pleased to invite you to our new seminar on measurement using piezoelectric sensor technology at the AMP Technology Centre.

This seminar provides an introduction to piezoelectric technology. An understanding of piezoelectric measurement technology is essential for all instrument engineers. The seminar includes both theory and practical exercises, using piezoelectric force sensors.

Course Contents:

• Design and functional principle of piezo­electric force sensors
• Fitting and mounting of sensors
• Determination of preload and permissible load limits
• Direct force and force shunt measurement
• Design of the measuring chain
• From sensor signal to voltage signal
• Different mounting variants are explained with the aid of practical application examples.
• Measuring chains and mounting materials will be available for the participants to use.

Workshop Session:

• Participants will be given the opportunity to install force sensors.
• Signal conditioning using both laboratory and industrial charge amplifiers will be set-up and configured

Calibration and measurements will be performed

Price: £150 for one participant, or £250 for two participants from the same organisation.
