eoSemi Raises £3m

28/06/2010

AMP Technology Centre based Semiconductor company eoSemi has held a £3m funding round led by NESTA Investments and Capital-E alongside existing investor Enterprise Ventures.

The capital raised will enable eoSemi to take a new timing device based entirely on silicon circuitry to market. The technology is expected to replace quartz crystals in a wide range of consumer goods and Ian Macbeth, one of eoSemi's founders, said the funding would help the business build "significant commercial momentum in a major market".
